Overview
Our Goals
In general, we respect your privacy. We are interested in making video games that you might enjoy, not harvesting your personal information. This site exists in order to communicate information from us to you, and we are grateful for your visit.
Specifically, we don't use cookies, sessions, web beacons, browser fingerprinting or myriad other tracking technologies that have become all-too-common on today's internet. This site should work fine with Javascript disabled. We generally host our own versions of third-party helpers (eg: fonts, Javascript libraries) — this is slightly inefficient, but it means that when you visit our site, your browser is generally only talking to our server.
Likewise, we endeavor to minimize the amount of your data that is shared with third parties. You will not find any hidden trackers for Facebook, Google, and the like.
Having said that, there is a certain minimal amount of your personal data, such as your IP address, which will be transmitted and recorded as part of normal operations. We do temporarily keep server logs, and we use that information to gauge usage of this site, in aggregate. Furthermore, we have no control over the various third parties that may be involved in your communication with this site, such as our hosting provider, your ISP, government entities, etc.
Similarly, with regard to third-parties, there are some cases where your data is exposed to them, such as when you play an embedded YouTube video, or if we receive a prohibitive amount of traffic and temporarily use a CDN.
If you find something on this site that is not in alignment with these goals, or feel this high-level summary is misleading in some way, please contact us ✉, so we can fix it.
Legalese
While the above Overview is generally accurate, the official versions of our policies, below, are the final word on the matter. If there is anything contradictory between the policies linked below and our looser descriptions elsewhere, these official policies have priority. If you notice any such contradiction, please let us know so we can improve the situation.
- Privacy Policy — Describes what data we collect, and how we use that data, along with your options for controlling it.
